Cabinetry & Joinery Warranty
Jarjo Joinery provides a 6-year warranty on all cabinetry and joinery against defects in materials or workmanship, starting from the date of installation. This warranty covers any failure of structural integrity of the cabinet carcass, such as cracking or breaking under normal domestic use.

Our warranty extends to the following:
1. Cabinet Carcasses: Protection against failure of structural integrity due to defects in material or workmanship.
2. Doors & Panels: Coverage for defects related to the materials or construction of doors and panels.
3. Benchtops & Internal Fittings: Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, in line with the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
4. Hardware Warranty: We use premium hardware from Blum and Hafele, which offers a Lifetime warranty to original purchasers for all drawer runners, hinges, and drawers.

OUR GUARANTEE IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING EXCLUSIONS

Our warranty does not cover the following:
1. General Wear and Tear: Natural wear from regular use.
2. Improper Cleaning: Damage resulting from the use of abrasive or solvent cleaners on tops.
3. Negligence: Any damage caused by negligence or improper handling of the product.
4. Exposure to Excessive Moisture or Heat: Finished surfaces exposed to excessive moisture or heat, as well as surface cracks, imperfections, or color variations, which are common with natural products like stone benchtops.
5. Benchtop Joins: Damage to benchtop joins due to water overflows, heat, or steam caused by appliances placed near joins.
6. Sunlight Exposure: Damage caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
7. Stone Cracks: Cracks in stone benchtops associated with ground movement or settlement. Cracks that develop in tops after installation are not covered under warranty.
8. Joins Coming Apart: Joins are covered under warranty only for the first 3 months after installation, typically due to external impact or stress caused by ground movement or settlement. Any join repairs required after this period may incur a call-out fee.
9. Supplier’s Warranty: Issues related to faulty materials supplied to Jarjo Joinery, in which the supplier’s warranty is applicable.
10. Notification of Defect: To ensure that warranty claims are valid, we require that Jarjo Joinery be notified within 30 days of the holder of the warranty becoming aware of the product failure.

MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

If you believe your product may be defective and wish to make a warranty claim, please follow the instructions below:

Required Information

• Your project reference number and address.
• Your name and contact details (phone number).
• A detailed description of the defect, including photographs of any issues with your cabinetry or joinery.

Once we receive your claim, we will contact you within 10 working days to discuss the next steps.

Inspection of Claims
Jarjo Joinery reserves the right to inspect any alleged faulty products before processing the claim. If an inspection determines the warranty does not apply, a call-out fee of $150 + GST will be charged.

If a product is found to be defective and no longer available, we will, at our discretion, replace it with a suitable substitute.

Warranty Fees
For warranty-related replacements that require adjustments (e.g., re-hinging, drilling, or installation of doors or panels), a call-out fee of $150 + GST will apply, which includes the first hour of labour. After the first hour, an additional $120 + GST per hour will apply.

At Jarjo Joinery, our products are built to last and maintain their beauty with proper care. Here are some tips to help preserve the appearance and longevity of your cabinetry and joinery:

• Avoid Excessive Heat: Protect surfaces from direct contact with hot appliances or heated surfaces.
• Use Gentle Cleaning Products: Clean surfaces with warm, soapy water and avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Timber Surfaces: Timber is a natural material that may expand or contract with moisture. Maintain timber with periodic polishing to protect the finish.
